Chat Keñes ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered chat application operated at qaratasai.kz. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Chat Keñes mobile application ("App") on iOS or Android, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what rights you have regarding your data.
By creating an account or otherwise using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide to us
- Phone number. We collect your phone number to create and verify your account through a one-time password (OTP). Your phone number serves as your primary account identifier.
- Chat messages. We store the content of your conversations with the AI to provide the service and maintain your chat history across sessions.
- Images. If you choose to send images within your messages, those images are transmitted to our servers and forwarded to our AI service provider for processing.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- User identifier. We assign a unique server-side identifier to your account when it is created.
- Technical and diagnostic data. We use Sentry (sentry.io) to collect crash reports, error logs, and performance information. This data may include your device type, operating system version, App version, and anonymized contextual information at the time of an error. Sentry data is used solely to identify and fix bugs and improve the stability of the App.
2.3 Information we do not collect
We do not collect your full name, email address, or payment card details. Subscription payments are processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play and we never receive your payment method information.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the service. Your phone number authenticates your account; your messages and images are processed to generate AI responses and maintain your conversation history.
- To process AI requests. Message content (text and, where provided, images) is transmitted to our third-party AI service provider to generate responses on our behalf. We do not use your conversation data to train AI models for third parties.
- Account security and rate limiting. Your user identifier and account data are used to authenticate sessions, enforce subscription tier limits, and protect against abuse or unauthorised access.
- Service stability and improvement. Diagnostic data collected via Sentry helps us identify, reproduce, and fix technical issues.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only as described below and only to the extent necessary for each purpose.
- AI service provider. Message content and images are forwarded to our third-party AI provider to generate responses. The provider acts as a data processor on our behalf under appropriate contractual terms.
- Sentry. Error and crash information is shared with Sentry, Inc. for diagnostic purposes. For details, see sentry.io/privacy .
- Cloud infrastructure provider. Our servers, databases, and storage are hosted on a cloud platform. Personal data is processed and stored on infrastructure managed by that provider subject to confidentiality obligations.
- Apple App Store and Google Play. If you purchase a subscription, the relevant platform processes the payment and provides us with confirmation of your subscription status. We do not receive your payment method details.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or a governmental authority of the Republic of Kazakhstan or another competent jurisdiction, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights or the safety of our users.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data (phone number, user identifier, and chat history) for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@qaratasai.kz.
Diagnostic data collected via Sentry is retained in accordance with Sentry's standard data retention policies. We periodically review and delete data that is no longer required.
6. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to protect your account by keeping your device secure.
7. Children
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us at hello@qaratasai.kz and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your account and the associated personal data.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on your consent (withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal).
To exercise any of these rights, send a request to hello@qaratasai.kz. We will respond within a reasonable period. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by posting the revised Policy on our website with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after we post any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree to the updated Policy, you should stop using the App and may request deletion of your data.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
